Small town

We live in a very small town...
and it does have its benefits.
We went to the annual tree lighting ceremony yesterday.
Santa arrived on a big fire truck and lit up the town tree.

People sang carols, handed out cookies and hot chocolate or cider.
We got to follow Santa back to the fire station and get a seating with him.
Jack wants a scooter and Luke a skateboard...
I was amazed that they actually sat on his lap.
They were rather nervous, but they really wanted the candy cane he was giving out!

Wow! I'm surprised too that they sat on his lap. I think there's strength in numbers....it's easier to do things when your brother's with you. (And a candy cane waiting!)

Very cute.

Love,
mom
