Santa's bad list

Reasons that Luke will be getting coal for xmas...

1. flinging dirt into Jacks open eyes
2. eating lots and lots of dirt, numerous times
3. eating an xmas bulb (seriously, how can that taste or feel good)
4. kicking, pinching and sitting on the cat
5. managing to knock down the wall clock and sign name in his room
6. breaking the sign name after it fell off the wall
7. spitting his apple at me
8. did I mention that he ate a xmas light!!!!

and this is all in the last 2 days...

Small town

We live in a very small town...
and it does have its benefits.
We went to the annual tree lighting ceremony yesterday.
Santa arrived on a big fire truck and lit up the town tree.

People sang carols, handed out cookies and hot chocolate or cider.
We got to follow Santa back to the fire station and get a seating with him.
Jack wants a scooter and Luke a skateboard...
I was amazed that they actually sat on his lap.
They were rather nervous, but they really wanted the candy cane he was giving out!

Hanging with Uncle Jake

The boys love to play with Uncle Jake.

He chases them and turns them upside down.

He tickles them like any good uncle would do.

Luckily, my brother is strong and patient!

Hot tub fun

The Knabb family got their xmas present a little early this year.

What do you think they are looking at?

The beautiful sunset!

So cool that he has to wear shades!

Happy thanksgiving!

I was with out the computer yesterday, so this is a bit late but
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

My dad made the BEST 1.5 hour turkey ever!
So moist and flavorful and fed 20 people with left overs.

It was soo big!

We went for a walk around the block afterwards...but the boys got tired and had to be carried.

Finally Fall

While we are waitng for Jack at Speech therapy (which will hopefully be over in January cuz he
is doing just fine and this year he doesnt have a fun guy to play with at speech so I'd rather do play dates)
Luke and I get to see the beautiful trees near by.

Luke, however, is not so excited about the trees.
He is fond of the sharp, pointy piece of wood that he found.

He was able to dig up rocks with it...and run up and down a small grassy area, while I had a heart attack.
He was having so much fun running with a stick...and not happy when I made him walk, and then give me the stick.

Then, I was able to get back to looking at the pretty trees and Luke was unable to impale himself with a stick!

Ding dong

The boys were facintated with this bell out side the fire station.

Jack had to make it ring... and he did.

It is a rather LOUD bell (tho it looks small)

Now they want to get there hands on the liberty bell!

Homemade slide

As we tried to declutter our kitchen, we got ride of some shelves.
The boys were more then happy to take the shelves off and use them
as slides on the couch.

Sadly, they were not very long boards and kept falling as the boys slide down.

They did not mind it too much tho...but Jack got tired of having to fix Lukes all the time.

Here it looks like they are watching tv too...but I dont remember the tv being on.
Must be Yo Gabba, Gabba or Max and Ruby.

one year ago

Okay, this is from last Novemeber,
but things have been pretty crazy around here for the last few weeks that I dont have many pictures,
or any new pictures.
Between potty training (Jack not using the potty at school), Luke turning into a total monster, we have
had our hands full. Jack also seems to forget that he has ears and hears nothing we say.
Luke finally figured out how to get out of his crib and pack n play, and never wants to sleep now (and that boy needs his sleep)!
I did learn a new skill thanks to the boys - how to unlock a door with a screw driver.
I had jury duty on top of that...
Hoping that December is an easier month!

Fun at Nonna's

Jacks "newest"thing is scooters. He loves them. All the cool kids are doing it!
We are probably going to be getting him a 2 wheeled scooter from Santa,
along with all of the extra protective gear (which will be handy when we take off the training wheels on his bike)
Although, when we took him to see Santa today (OMG Santa is at the Mall already...it is not even Tday yet!) Anyway, he was a really nice Santa and he called us over and Jack said that he wants a big race car from Santa... I reminded him that he wants a scooter, and he added it to his list along with a skateboard. (I foresee many trips to the ER with these two).

Luke, however, is terrified of Santa. I think it has to do with a big, scary guy that jumped out at him at Halloween. Santa sort of won him over with a candy cane, but it took a lot to get him close to Santa. Jack ate his first ever (that I know of) candy cane today and said that it tastes just like tooth paste!

building shelves

You would never know how happy Jack was to help daddy build shelves.
The boys had a great time "helping" daddy.

Luckily, the boys have lots of tools to help.

We took it upon ourselves to organize our main closet last weekend and
it was quite the project (for Loren).
It didnt quite work, but it is better than it was (this is the end product and it really does hold more stuff)

Wordless Wednesday - bbq style

Yes, it is November...and we are still in short sleeves and bbq weather.

Luke LOVES to "help", especially the barbecue.

Vasona

We sure spend a lot of our time at different parks...

They are great places for the boys to blow off some steam.

We get to spend lots of time following them around so that they don't fall...

Luke always has to keep up with his big bro...who is a lot more steady on his feet.

Vasona park in LG is a great park with way too many options for the kids to play on...
They have an firetruck, an airplane, a train, swings, sand and way too many people at this park!

There is also a functioning little train and carousal...but the boys are now afraid of them.
Luke used to not be afraid of anything, but that has changed.
TOO LOUD he says about the train...

The airplane was one used in one of the World Wars...II i think!
And then we dropped the boys off at my Mom and Neal's for a date night!
It was great...we had dinner at Straits Cafe in Santana Row (thanks to Loren's parents from last year) and we went home to watch a movie.
I finally got to see Twilight...I liked the book better.
