Last day of Baseball

Yesterday was the last baseball game for the boys
And for the SF Giants!!Woo hoo!!

Jack is number 1 and Luke is number 6!

I have already signed Luke up for the spring season of Tball
and now Jack is saying that he wants to play A ball too.

I have heard that with both boys in 2 levels of ball...we could be busy 6 days a week, oh my!
But they love it and are pretty darn good too!

And so cute!!

As the sports season is winding down, hopefully I'll have more time to blog!

Jack has 2 more weeks of soccer and he's done too!
And then it is bring on the holidays!  Crazy!!

bonny doon fire fighter bbq fundraiser

Last weekend my Aunt and Uncle took us to the Bonnydoon firefighter bbq fundraiser.

It was fun!

The boys got to climb all over the trucks.

And they got to eat hot dogs, beans and lots of garlic bread.

We had tri tip!  One friend of Kate's was super smart and brought her own steak knife!
We had to go at it with plastic, which was a bit more difficult, but still tasty!

The teenagers hung out on top of the truck!

There was also dancing and a raffle. Bill and Kate are awesome dancers and while I am not a dancer I was lucky in the raffle.  5 dollars netted a Smithsonian sea monster kit and a new froggy necklace for me! Super stoked!

The bride!

It looks like Diana is looking right at me!

I really like this picture too! Her dress was amazing!
And I learned a new word - bustling.

That means taking the train and fluffing it up so that she can walk (and dance) after the ceremony!

Proud parents!

and grandma!

See the cool bustle!
One funny thing that happened to Jack at the wedding was the garter toss.
There were maybe 6 or so single guys lined up and I had Jack and Luke go in too.
When Jake tossed the garter all the older guys took a step back leaving the little boys to get it.
One of them sort of nudged Jack to get it!
He thinks it is a very pretty hair band!

before the wedding

My "little"brother Jake got married this Sunday to the most prefect girl, Diana!
We are so lucky to have her in our family!

I use "little" in quotes, because while I am a bit older...he has almost a foot over me!
!
We came early for some pre-wedding pictures.

The location was beautiful at the Mountain Terrace at Woodside and the weather was perfect!
A far cry from the 105 degrees previously in the week!

This is my favorite shot of Jake and the boys!
Are they not so completely handsome!!

And, as we Fontinells are a baseball family, a few games of catch had to be played on the beautiful lawn!  Jake and his best man even tossed a few!

Here Jake is waiting for his beautiful bride with his ordained for the day friend who gave a lovely and funny sermon! More to come tomorrow!

Summers end

We have had a crazy Indian summer.
It was hotter for 4 days then it has been all summer.

So last weekend we escaped to my Aunt and Uncles house to hang out with the cousins.

It was perfect for swimming in the pool and cooling down from the 105 temps!

Now we seem to be back to normal, but last weekend was warm!

Fun to have a pool to play in!
