The bad, the good, and the ugly

Here we are starting out on the great american vacation...road trip with the family.
Ugh!

We stopped at the jelly belly factory to let off some steam. It was really neat!
Then we headed out, with many stops to Eugene. With only hours to go...we ran into
a fire that closed the freeway for 2 hours. Which was real fun just as look started to lose it.
Jack did awesome the first leg of the jouney, Luke, not so much.

We got to spent the intire day at my BFF Jennies house. It was sooooo fun!
She runs a daycare out of her house so it is full of toys and kids.
The boys LOVED it and I LOVED hanging out with Jennie and her family!

The second leg of the jouney from Eugene to Spokane was a nightmare for poor Jack.
Many fits and many tears.
It was very beautiful driving thru Oregon with the farmland and the river and we stopped at a playground for the boys to play.
Luke is a champion swinger...he will do it for days and when you feel like your arm is finally going to fall off so you have to stop, Luke pitches quite the fit.
However, we made it safe and sound. I keep reminding myself if we flew it would only be 6 hours or so, but we wouldnt have been able to visit Jennie. And that was the best part of the trip!
Now that we are here all is good. Boys are happy and the backyard is so beautiful and relaxing!
