We went to a cowboy birthday party today. And there was a real pony!
Luke got to go on his first pony ride. He looks a little squished, but had fun. He didnt want to go, but Loren just put him on the bench. We couldnt get Jack anywhere near it...he was too busy sitting in the shade waiting for cake.
Guess who learned how to ride a bike with NO training wheels! And, guess who got a good work out and is happy that he doesnt have to run after Jack anymore!
It took a week or so, but he did a great job and with no major crashes so far. First he mastered going in a straight line, then turning (that one took awhile) and then starting up the bike with no help. We are very proud of the big guy...
Luke is not longling looking forward to the day that he can ride a bike... he is still on the tricycle.
We had a giant tree in our back yard that was looking to take out a house and few fences.
It took us awhile to find some one to cut it down - but Duane Ernst at North County tree service was aweseome! He had the giant tree down plus cutting back 4 other trees in 5 hours!
Luckily, the boys and I were home and we were all entralled with the process.
We have so much more sun and room in our back yard...and now we need a fence as to not see so much of the neighbors.
We celebrated st paddy's day at work with chocolate money (and little bottles of alcohol in chocolate).
I brought some "money" home for the boys after dinner treat.
Sadly, they didnt really like the cornbeef and cabbage that I made, but they did like the chocolate!
