wordless wednesday - hula hoop

Remember hula hoops! They are so hard to do, but fun!

I hula hooped on the wii...till I hurt me knee...
Jack wants a hula hoop now...a gold one.
(Ever since the Olympics, it is all about getting the gold)

bubbles

The boys love bubbles...
everytime they take a bath, they want me to blow bubbles.

Luke is getting pretty good at blowing them.

It really is hard to take a good picture of bubbles...as well as blow them.
I am still looking for the perfect brand of bubbles...
or maybe Im just not that good at blowing them myself.

Picture this..

At the birthday party, there were cameras on the table.

I think that there are going to be a lot of funny pictures of people and grown up knees.

And pictures of the food, of course!

Here is Jack in his new skateboard shirt.

Lukes pony ride

We went to a cowboy birthday party today.
And there was a real pony!

Luke got to go on his first pony ride.
He looks a little squished, but had fun.

He didnt want to go, but Loren just put him on the bench.
We couldnt get Jack anywhere near it...he was too busy sitting in the shade waiting for cake.

Luke is quite the trooper and had fun!

Jack and the 2 wheeler

Guess who learned how to ride a bike with NO training wheels!
And, guess who got a good work out and is happy that he doesnt have to run after Jack anymore!

It took a week or so, but he did a great job and with no major crashes so far.
First he mastered going in a straight line, then turning (that one took awhile) and then starting up the bike with no help.
We are very proud of the big guy...

Luke is not longling looking forward to the day that he can ride a bike...
he is still on the tricycle.

Tree down

We had a giant tree in our back yard that was looking to take out a house and few fences.
It took us awhile to find some one to cut it down - but Duane Ernst at North County tree service was aweseome!  He had the giant tree down plus cutting back 4 other trees in 5 hours!

Luckily, the boys and I were home and we were all entralled with the process.

We have so much more sun and room in our back yard...and now we need a fence as to not see so much of the neighbors.

Spring Training and a boat

Nothing like a little baseball in the backyard in the sunshine.
Jack is pretty good!

Notice the boat in its new location...so the tree guys can come in and take out some trees.

Anyone want to buy a boat?

Luke is fond of this basketball! Luckily it was bath night!

Nice outfit!

I looked out the window as Luke was going outside and noticed he had put on his rainboots.
Thankfully, it is not raining!

He cracks me up!

These boots are made for walking

Luke loves to put on our shoes and walk around.

Here he is in Lorens new emus.

His favorite part is kicking them off and hitting something across the room...
not my favorite game.

chocolate money

We celebrated st paddy's day at work with chocolate money (and little bottles of alcohol in chocolate).
I brought some "money" home for the boys after dinner treat.
Sadly, they didnt really like the cornbeef and cabbage that I made, but they did like the chocolate!

Lukie looking a bit more healthy!
