The end of camping

Boys had fun throwing rocks in the river by our camp site.

And Jack had fun crawling out on a fallen tree...

The boys enjoyed stalking the neighboring site that had a "big" boy of  7 years old to play with.
(These were really nice camping neighbors that jump started our van when we were the last to leave!
as Luke likes to leave the lights on in the van)

Check out my brothers crazy hair that has since had a buzz cut!
I so wish we could trade hair!
Luke was a good helper at putting away the tent!

Luke, the fountain and Monnie

The way Luke is looking at this fountain, you would think that he hated it...

When truly he could spend hours here...and would love to go in it.
We are at the "health" center where my grandmother is taken care of.

In the beginning of July, Luke and I went to visit my grandma (who I call Monnie)
and I never posted about it. I do not get to visit her very much.
She lives in a beautiful community.

She is nothing like she used to be and I miss her.

Where did my baby go?

It seems like with in a matter of 2 weeks (and a haircut)
Luke turned into a little boy.

from crazy baby to
even crazier little boy.

His has thinned out (especially his cheeks)
and become a mischievous little boy.
Kids gonna be a heart breaker!

WW: tide pools

After the aquarium, we have a picnic on the beach.

Our typical spot was full of geese poop, so we found another spot
with tide pools!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Getting a membership to the aquarium was one of the best things we have done!
Even if it is an hour away.

So many cool things to see. From sharks to anchovies to Nemo and flamingos!
Not so easy to see outside though.
It sure has been a cold and foggy summer.

Did I mention turtles?!
I really thought that the turtles where cool!
Jacks favorite thing is the diver in the big tank.
That and the hammerhead shark!

Garlic weekend

I took a short blogging break to go to the garlic festival.
We go on Fridays as it is a bit less crowded.

But still there were LOTS of people and lots of food.
The stuffed mushrooms are my favorite, but the crazy prices might keep us away in the future.
This year my Dad and Trish treated us for our anniversay!
Thank you!!

and the mist room - a must for hot gilroy
(actually this year was a lot less hot then previous years)
And then we camped, which is why I didnt blog.
More pix to come of a fun time!

What is around the corner?

Costco is cool....

So many things to look at....
even...

cars...

Posted by Picasa
Including our car getting yet another nail removed from the tire.
Loren has had at least 4 nails removed over the life of the car...
(hem, may have just jinxed myself into a nail in my car's tire.)

Bye Spokane

Well that about raps up our trip to Spokane.
It was a fun time!

Boys did good again on the plane...better then Loren!
It is a little bumpy landing and leaving spokane - not my favorite thing.

Home again, home again, giggity jog.

Rose Garden

I am going to still post a few more pix of our trip up north...
This is Manito park rose garden and it is just beautiful.

So many different types of roses.

Jack favorite were the white ones.
( he is really digging the muscle shirts now...and uses the word "gnarly" correctly)
