Boys in the hood

Have I mentioned how awesome my neighbors are?!

They have 3 boys and one unknown on the way...
They want to be surprised.

Their boys and our boys get along famously!
Just like brothers (brothers that like each other)

So we try to help each other out by watching all boys at one time so the other gets to do something useful...like fold laundry or make dinner.
We also have movie nights so that one couple gets to go out to dinner.
I love our hood!

 

Garden planet - before

Last week (when it was sunny) I finally started planting my garden!

I love having a garden and eating all the home grown food!

I only planted half of it, in hopes of stretching the produce.
5 tomatoes, some lettuce, 2 zucchinis and 2 cucumbers.
And, last year, my peppers only did well when I planted them late in the season.

Now I need more tomatoes, peppers, basil and an eggplant!
So excited for summer!

Sprinkler time!

We have had some amazingly warm weather around here...

It was over 90 yesterday! 
And now that the evenings are longer...
the boys get more time to play.

This was a Friday night after I go home from work and looks just like a summer day!

It is supposed to go back to the normal 70s for the upcoming week,
but it sure has been nice to have a taste of summer!

 

 

New toy!

Luke now has a pitch back!

It really is amazing what Marshells sells!

and he loves it...

so does our neighbor boy, but I didn't get a pix of him!

It really is fun and important to use it with a glove. 
I did it without and it didn't go so well.

 

WW: homemade beards

Gotta love painters tape!
Boys decided that they wanted mustaches and beards...like daddy!
If Daddy had a blue beard!
And, the boys are wearing their "handsome" shirts to boot!

 

 

 

Hum baby...Opening Day 2012

It had been raining...and raining... and raining....
Even on our drive up to SF...
We were worried...but thankfully it was a BEAUTIFUL day for the SF Giants home opener on Friday!!

Seriously, this is the best ball park in the world!

Amazing views!

We were all decked out in with warm clothes and rain gear...and we were so hot!
However, it was really cold and super windy in the city so did need the warm clothes!

Matt Cain was on the mound!
And he did awesome!!!
It was almost a no hitter.

A fun time was had by all!

The potluck singing again...hope it works!

I do not see a future in theatre in Luke's future...
He is a bit stiff and uncomfortable looking!
However, watching him perform next to his bf was hysterical!
All the other kids were really into it and were so cute jumping and dancing...
While Luke and his buddy just looked really awkward!
As Luke is moving on to K next year....this will be the LAST year at quail hollow Montessori!
I really hope that these pictures post...
I really think that picasa and blogger are working together to make me stop blogging...
as they keep making it more difficult to post...

 

 

 

Puzzle time for Luke

A few weeks ago, Luke decided he wanted to try puzzles (with me-always with me).

And, once we did it together, he could do it all by himself.
He was very proud and so was I.
Now if he can just remeber how he did it today...

Luke also likes to ham it up for the camera now...and rolling his eyes his one big ham!
