Happy Memorial Day!

Today is the day of the Felton Remembers Parade!  It closes down Hwy 9 for a few hours (one year before I knew about the parade I went for a cup of coffee in town and it took 2 hours since the road was blocked)  It is so much fun to wave and clap at our service men and women.  And, they throw candy!  Thank you for all you do for our country!

Luckily, we can walk to the parade.

How to eat an oreo

For the life of me I can not figure out how to write next to the pictures...but the boys enjoyed twisting the oreo to eat the creamy center "kinda like ice cream" luke says, and dunking the cookie in milk!

Another box activity

So once they turned the boxes into beds...it was time to decorate!

Crayons and scissors (until Luke got a little careless with the scissors and they were confisgated)

Field trip

I went on Jack's field trip to Henry Cowell on Friday and managed to not take any good pictures.
They kids move way too fast and don't pose.

13 four and five year olds and about 8 grown ups...I felt very out numbered.

It was fun and we saw 6 banana slugs!
No deer or mountain lions, kids are way too loud.

But, they all found lots of sticks...

He is thinking "hem, blocks. I remember blocks and they are pretty fun."

Lets see if they can reach the ceiling.

More grown ups get involved.
And utensils are used to help it reach the ceiling.

No more kids, all the grown ups and I just realized that my FIL has his sneakers on my couch...
I would never let the boys do that!

My favorite time

This is my favorite time of the day...naptime!

Don't they look like little angels!

Jack is starting to not need naps anymore and I am sad.

It is such a peaceful time when they are both asleep at the same time.

We all get to recharge our batteries!
