Via magazine

I love it when Luke does something quiet all on his own.
I was doing dishes and this is what I saw when I looked over at him.

He prefers my magazines over his books some times and will spend quite a bit of time looking at them.
He prefers the pictures waterfalls and any other body of water.
Here he is pointing out that we need to go to Disneyland...

Sadly, this quiet moment didn't last long because Jack didn't like it that he wasn't in the picture so he went over and riled Luke up.

shoots and scores

Luke has been a little obsessed with balls lately.
He really wants to play basketball (and only wear his basketball sweatshirt)

He needed a bit of help from dad to get up high.

Sadly, chances are not good that basketball is gonna be his game.
Football, or maybe he could be a left handed pitcher...

Jack has the same height issues, but he almost made a shot!

WW: a boy and his tricycle

Luke is soon going to be moving up to a 2 wheeler with training wheels, of course.
But he sure is cute on his tricycle and can almost keep up with the big boys.

Bikes at the park

Here is Jack and his BFF Maverick.
These boys are trouble!

They keep trying to out do each other, and have lots of fun in the process.

They go to school together and cant really rough house there
so they had fun wrestling, riding bikes and chasing each other.

soccer at the park

Skypark is the best...so many things to do.
We went to the park this weekend and ran into practically half of the boys pre-school.
It was a lot of fun and a beautiful day.

First we started out on the soccer fields...think Luke needs a haircut?

Both boys are very good at kicking.

Puzzle boy

Jack has become very good at doing puzzles.
He hardly needs any help.

The smaller puzzle is a double sided puzzle and he had no problems.
Actually, the problems start when his brother tries to "help".
Luke is not puzzle ready.

Safety first

Luke wanted me to put on all of his safety gear and take a picture of him.
I always like it when he wants to wear it!
It doesnt last long tho.  It kind of gets in the way and he takes it off after about 30 seconds.

We have lots more skinned knees, scraped elbows and cut palms in our future.

Jumping Jack

I promise that this is the last gymnastics party picture.

Jack was nervous about jumping so high into the pit...even after watching many other kids do it, but....
he took the leap and jumped!
( was nervous too, but at that point I still didnt know that there was a trampoline at the bottom!)

 Way to go Jack!

WW: always a climber

More party time

The gymnastics party had an awesome blow up whale
with a slide exit.
Luke liked to pretend he was going to jump off the side...giving me quite a few heart attacks.

Luke must have gone through it like 50 times - I kid you not.
This was his nap time, so it was a special treat for him to play at the party.
Poor guy was exhausted at the end and Loren took him home a little early.

He LOVED the big trampoline, actually, he loved everything about this place.

I love how his hair flies everywhere!

foam pit fun

We went to a gymnastics birthday party for one of the boys friends.
Happy Birthday, Milo!
It was SOOOO much fun.

It was at Santa Cruz Gymnastics Center.
They had a giant pit filled with foam squares and the kids had a blast jumping into them.
I wish I had know that at the bottom of the pit was a trampoline because some kids
really jumped off a high perch into the pit and I was sure that they would hit the floor and get hurt.

A few times I had to haul Luke out because he said he needed help,
but he was loving it!

Jack singing at preschool

Jack and Luke's pre school had a potluck last week and Jack's class sang for us.  It was very cute.
Luke, however, was in a fit throwing mood so it wasn't the most pleasant experience. Luckily, we were in a room of people who knew just what we were going through!

Luke has taken to having meltdowns lately and he is very good at them...I will be happy when he is out of the terrible twos...I hope the 3's are better.
